Center for Sex Offender Management
CSOM is a national project that
supports state and local jurisdictions in the effective management of
sex offenders under community supervision. CSOM's primary goal is to
enhance public safety by preventing further victimization through improving
the management of sex offenders in the community. CSOM's goals are carried
out through three primary activity areas: an information exchange, training
and technical assistance, and support to select Resources Sites and Office
of Justice Programs grantees.
Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA)
CCASA is a statewide coalition of individuals and organizations working
together toward the elimination of sexual violence. As the collective
voice of sexual assault victims, survivors, and those who support them,
CCASA's mission is to ensure that those impacted by sexual violence are
treated with dignity and respect and have full access to quality services
and resources. CCASA achieves its mission through an emphasis on education,
prevention, changing public policy and advocating for adequate funding
for sexual assault services.

Department of Corrections (Sex Offender Treatment and Management
Program)
The SOTMP conducts sexual offender research and program evaluation,
the results of which are posted on the website. Some sex offenders participate
in community service projects in conjunction with treatment and contribute
information on sexual offending behaviors, including written disclosures
of techniques used to manipulate staff and groom victims, which are included
on the website.
National Center for Missing & Exploited
Children
NCMEC
was established in 1984 as a private, nonprofit organization to provide
services nationwide for families and professionals in the prevention
of abducted, endangered, and sexually exploited children. NCMEC serves
as
a clearinghouse of information about missing and exploited children;
operates a CyberTipline that the public may use to report Internet-related
child
sexual exploitation; provides technical assistance to individuals and
law-enforcement agencies in the prevention, investigation, prosecution,
and treatment of cases involving missing and exploited children; assists
the U.S. Department of State in certain cases of international child
abduction in accordance with the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects
of International
Child Abduction; offers training programs to law-enforcement and social-service
professionals; distributes photographs and descriptions of missing children
worldwide; coordinates child-protection efforts with the private sector;
networks with nonprofit service providers and state clearinghouses about
missing-persons cases; and provides information about effective state
legislation to help ensure the protection of children.

Rape Awareness and Assistance Program
(RAAP)
With this website, you can find information about sexual violence and
learn about the services that RAAP provides in metro-Denver. We hope that
everyone finds this site useful, no matter where you live. The Rape Assistance
and Awareness Program (RAAP) serves, primarily, Denver, Adams, Arapahoe,
Jefferson and Douglas counties. RAAP's ultimate mission is to eliminate
sexual assault by educating the public about the prevention of sexual
assault and by assisting victims of sexual assault. Since the agency was
established in 1983, over 370,000 individuals have benefited from RAAP's
services.
Safer Society
The Safer Society Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit agency, is a national
research, advocacy, and referral center on the prevention and treatment
of sexual abuse. Founded in 1964 as the Prison Research Education Action
Project (P.R.E.A.P.) by Fay Honey Knopp, P.R.E.A.P. evolved into the Safer
Society Program in 1985, and became the Safer Society Foundation, Inc.
in 1995. The Safer Society Foundation, Inc. provides a variety of services
related to the prevention and treatment of sexual abuse.
Sex Offender Management Board
The Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) is a multi-discliplinary Board created in 1992 by the Colorado legislature, per 16-11.7-101 C.R.S., to develop Standards & Guidelines for the Assessment,
Evaluation, Treatment &
Behavioral Monitoring of Adult Sex Offenders. SOMB has also developed Lifetime Supervision Criteria, Standards for Developmentally Disabled Sex Offenders, & Standards & Guidelines for the
Evaluation, Assessment, Treatment & Supervision of Juveniles Who Have Committed Sexual Offenses. SOMB Standards are designed to establish a basis for the systematic management & treatment
of sex offenders which is intended to improve community safety & protect victims. SOMB is committed to research-based policy development, identifying best practices in sex offender management,
as well as utilizing a victim and public safety approach in the development of sex offender management policies. SOMB operates in the Office of Domestic Violence & Sex Offender Management in
